Innsbruck
is easily accessible by road, whether travelling from the North (E533
from Munich and Garmisch-P.), South (A13 Brennerautobahn), East or West
(A12 Inntalautobahn). International trains
from all four points of the compass arrive at the Main station which
is just a 10 minutes walk from the historical Old Town. Innsbruck can
also reached by plane, the airport is situated just 10 minutes from
the city center and has excellent coach and taxi connections. Daily
flights to/from Vienna, Graz, Zurich, Amsterdam and Paris are provided
by Tyrolean Airlines, Austrian
Airlines, KLM Alps and Welcome Air. The Department of Microbiology
is situated in the western part of the town and can be reached by taxi
or by bus (line O).
