Less odour from volatile organic carbon emissions through better organic waste collection

Background
The emission of odour from organic waste collection systems is a nuisance to the user.

Aims
The present project aims at facilitating detection of gaseous emissions by measuring volatile organic carbons (VOCs) with a novel PTR-MS gas measurement device, and to improve the odour situation by implementing an innovative waste collection method.

Preliminary findings
VOC emissions may be related to the prevalent microorganisms
